51st ANNUAL RECITAL
CONCORD CITY AUDITORIUM
SATURDAY, MAY 29, 2021 2:00 PM
RECITAL VIDEOS DVDs: $ each; must be a separate check. Recital videos will be ready the week
after recital, and may either be picked up at my home, or mailed to you for an additional $5.00. This
can be paid any time from now through May 29. Checks are payable to Gen's Dance Studio.
TICKETS: $ each; will go on sale Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 2:00 PM, in the lobby of the
City Auditorium. After May 26, tickets will also be on sale at dress rehearsal May 27, and at the
door on the day of recital, May 29. Also on May 26, you will receive 2 complimentary tickets per
student to the dress rehearsal. Dress rehearsal is closed to the public. For the comfort and
safety of the performing students, no exceptions may be made to this rule. There will be plenty of
tickets for everyone; please try not to arrive more than one hour before ticket sales begin.
Tickets are all for reserved seating and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Place: Concord City Auditorium
When you arrive, go to the backstage door and go directly to your assigned dressing room.
We will have our first rehearsal on Wednesday, May 26. Students must arrive by 4:00 PM.
Rehearsal will start at 4:15 and run till about 6:15 PM. This is our only rehearsal before dress
rehearsal, so please reserve this day and time ASAP. We need to have all students present.
Thursday, May 27: DRESS REHEARSAL. Begins at 6:00 pm. Be sure to have all your costumes
and be at the auditorium no later than 5:30 pm.
Saturday, May 29: RECITAL. 2:00 pm. Everyone (dancers, stage help, etc.) should be at the
auditorium NO LATER THAN 1:15 PM. The doors will open at 1:00 pm.
For rehearsals, dress rehearsal and recital, all students are to use the backstage entrance and go
directly to their dressing rooms. NO ONE is allowed to be in the audience in costume before they
The balcony at the Concord City Auditorium will be CLOSED during rehearsals and dress
rehearsal. If you wish to videotape rehearsals and/or dress rehearsal, you must do so from the
No gum chewing; no watches, bracelets, or necklaces. No earrings unless they were given to you
to match your costume. Please be very quiet backstage.
It is your responsibility to make sure that your name is marked in all of your costumes and all of
your dance shoes.
NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE AUDIENCE.
There is no food or drink allowed in the theater. HOWEVER: You may bring a snack to your
dressing room. NO messy foods (chocolate, popcorn, Cheese Doodles, Doritos, etc.). Dressing
rooms must be left in the same condition in which you found them.
